Small Embedded Data Center Monitoring Using Packet Power

The Minnesota Center for Energy and Environment and their project partners—Wisconsin Energy Conservation Corporation (WECC) and MnTAP—received CARD (Conservation Applied Research and Development) funding in order to pilot a program which addresses energy consumption and improving efficiency of small embedded data centers.

After thoughtful consideration, the program has chosen to elect Packet Power's power monitoring devices to capture detailed power usage statistics.   The MN Center for Energy and Environment chose Packet Power's Wireless Smart Power Cables due to their flexibility and ease of installation with minimal disruption while providing detailed power and energy consumption at the level of granularity needed to complete their analysis.

The project is supported by a grant from the Minnesota Department of Commerce, Division of Energy Resources through the Conservation Applied Research and Development (CARD) program.
