Packet Power Introduces Ethernet Gateway V2

Packet Power Introduces Ethernet Gateway V2

We are pleased to announce Version 2 of our Ethernet Gateway.  Available immediately, it performs the same functions as the Version 1 Gateway while making it much easier to use on networks requiring static IP address assignments.Ethernet Gateway 2

We are also incorporating the SNMP interface capability previously offered as the DataHub software product into two models the Ethernet Gateway.  The new Ethernet Gateway is available in three models:

  • Ethernet Gateway Standard (GW02-0000) for use with Packet Power applications in single-Gateway or multi-Gateway sites.
  • Ethernet Gateway SNMP Solo (GW02-00SS) for use with SNMP applications in sites with a single Gateway and less than 250 wireless monitoring devices.
  • Ethernet Gateway SNMP Enterprise (GW02-00SE) for use with SNMP applications in sites with multiple Gateways and up to 2,000 wireless monitoring devices.

The SNMP Enterprise model features an aggregation capability that allows any one Gateway to provide data on all monitoring devices via SNMP regardless of which Gateway a monitoring device may connect through.  This makes it much easier to provide data from larger wireless monitoring networks to an SNMP monitoring application.
