Good news for data centers using DCIM applications that communicate via the Modbus TCP/IP protocol: we have an advanced wireless power and environmental monitoring system for you!
Using new models of our Ethernet Gateway, anywhere from a few to thousands of wireless monitoring devices per site can now provide real-time data to applications in the Modbus TCP/IP format. Each monitoring unit is assigned a distinct Modbus slave ID. Predefined Modbus register maps are provided and can be customized to work with your particular monitoring system.
In larger data centers, the system uses register offsets to scale to as many as 2,000 devices. The system will automatlically generate and display the mapping of monitoring nodes to slave IDs and register ranges while still providing for customization as required. Register maps for APC's StruxureWare Central are fully tested and available now, with more integrations on their way.
We are excited to make the easiest way to capture power, temperature, relative humidity and differential pressure data available immediately to data centers using Modbus-based applications.
